At this moment, we face nearly 2400 dead American Soldiers, nearly 20,000 injured American Soldiers, countless (literally) injured and dead Iraqi soldiers and scores of murdered/injured innocent Iraqi civilians. (No need to elaborate about Katrina or the bones and ashes of the WTC Victims that remain piled with New York City trash at the "Fresh Kills" Garbage Dump in Staten Island nearly five years later)
But WHCA is having a dinner party!
The prospect of lighthearted society banter and the distribution of "journalism" awards simply disgusts me. America is choking on the lies, distortions and omissions perpetrated by this president, his administration and creepy politicians from both sides of the aisle. America is choking on the propagandist drivel being parroted each day by the majority of the media representatives assembled at your tables.
